Musical Theater

MUSICAL THEATER

Broadway, touring companies, regional theater, dinner theater,
community theater, and more…

The theater gives dancers their best opportunity for long-term continuous employment but so few of our young dancers are prepared for the theater …we’ll change that!

OUR DANCERS WILL

-Be required to know at least twenty-four musicals during the program. They will read the book, know the part that is right for them and prepare a song to be performed for their classmates.
-They will become confidant and comfortable when a Musical Director says, “dancers to the piano please”.
-They will be prepared to dance, sing and act in a show and they will be ready when featured parts are offered to them.
-Every week our dancers will have a private voice lesson and an ensemble voice lesson.
Every Friday they will hand their sheet music to the pianist, nod to begin and sing for their classmates. Their performance will be critiqued by Equity professionals and then they will be handed next weeks musical to be prepared.

Musical theater will become as natural to them
in six-months as dance is today.
