Growing up in the Los Angeles Area, music was always a part of Eric’s life; But it wasn’t until he returned to Bermuda in his teen years and was given the opportunity to participate in the Youth Theatrical Road Show that he realized the amount of joy it brought him. At the age of 15 Eric began his training under the tutelage of Suzette Harvey (founder of the Bermuda Dance Company & United Dance Productions Studio).Through her guidance and unwillingness to settle for anything less than his very best, Eric developed a love for the art form of dance and a passion for sharing it with others. Following in her footsteps, Eric went on to attended University of the Arts in Philadelphia (PA), where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education and Choreography. During his time at Uarts, Mr. Bean became a member of Eleone Dance Theater and, Under the direction of Shawn-Lamere Williams, continued to grow as an artist and performer; working his way through the ranks to attain the position of principle dancer.  

Upon completion of his undergraduate program, Mr. Bean received and invitation to join the world-renowned Koresh Dance Company; under the direction of Artistic Director/Choreographer/Founder Ronen Koresh. Receiving opportunities to work with and perform works by pioneers in the dance community such as: Donald Byrd (Spectrum Dance Theatre, Color Purple Musical), Robert Battle (Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre) and Ohad Naharin (Batshava Dance Company) to name a few. After several seasons as a member of Koresh, Eric relocated to Las Vegas where he received the opportunity to serve as Assist. To the Creative Team of Frank Gatson, Jr. – the legendary choreographer behind artists such as [read]Beyonce & Jennifer Lopez; eventually landing himself a role as a featured dancer in the re-imagining of Don Arden’s Jubilee! at Bally’s Las Vegas . Upon completion of the shows final run, Mr. Bean joined the inaugural cast Viking Ocean’s newest luxury liner, the Viking Sea ; as the featured male dancer/singer . After a successful 8-month tour of Europe, he returned to the U.S. where, shortly thereafter, he received an invitation to join the newest North American touring cast of Disney’s The Lion King ; where he continues to wow audiences across the country eight shows a week! Eric has always believed art and expression is something to be shared with everyone and has strived to surround himself with like-minded individuals. In 2012 Eric created Jaricco Dance – A Pick Up Company & Bermuda Registered Charity with the focus on providing opportunities for local and international dance artists to network and collaborate while presenting works of artistic excellence – and continues to be a sought after teaching artist; offer master instruction, workshops, and coaching to students and professionals around the globe.[/read]
